The Quendoz, a family-run farm in the village of Jovençan, immersed in the countryside, is run by Vincent and Lydie, two young people who carry on their father Elio's passion with great enthusiasm. A four-generation story that began in the 1960s and continues to this day, offering high-quality local produce with a unique mountain flavour.

This work is based on respect for animals and nature, and attention to quality derived from ancient traditions of product manufacture. Every stage of the process is monitored, from the birth of the calf to milking, processing, maturing and direct sales of cheese, meat and charcuterie.

The top-of-the-range product is Fontina PDO, produced since 1982, with its aromas of mountain flowers, the magic of "Rebletzen", "fromadzo mégro" and "Quendina" - a cheese similar to Fontina with aromatic herbs, spices and dried fruit.      

During the summer, the cattle make the "inalpe" - the transhumance - to the Chatelanaz mountain pasture in the Saint-Pierre mountains, at an altitude of 1850 metres, where the pastures, together with the high mountain grass and flowers, give the cheeses a unique and special flavour.

The Quendoz takes part in the battle of the queens and its cows have been among the finalists since 1969.
