Jambon de Bosses AOP
The establishment, in which we visit the production and seasoning premises, is the
result of a collaboration between the Municipality and private entrepreneurs for the development of the Bosses ham. The product, which has a long history in the territory of Greater Saint-Bernard, whose origins date back to 1397, saw its specificity recognized by the appellation PDO.
A sweet union
between taste and tradition
A raw ham spiced with mountain herbs, produced at an altitude of 1600 m in the commune of Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, according to ancient traditions.
A label that contains all the characteristics of this Valley: the dry and ventilated climate, its particular exposure to crossings of air flows coming down from the passes, the mountain grasses, the berries of juniper, alpine hay, on which the ham is matured. A unique product that tells the history of a Greater Saint Bernard territory.
